Ppiaraadram is a Tamil film directed by K Balachander which was released in the year 1983. The film stars Radhika Sarathkumar and Mohan who are married to each other but dispute about their son's schooling further leads them to getting divorced for life time. This story is based on the real incident which takes place in Tamil Nadu. The film was produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment and it is a remake of K. Balachander's Delivering Avarudra (Tamil: Oorukku Avaru Vazhaithadi) released in 1979. The movie begins with women are attending their husbands for birthday functions. Then an announcement is heard that all the husbands are coming to their wives' house for breakfast. Baba (Mohan) comes with his wife Parvathi (Radha) for breakfast. They are having their breakfast when suddenly the door bell rings with Mani (Charle) coming inside. Mani is husband of Meena who is mother of Baba and Parvathi's son. Mani asks about his son but Meena did not tell the truth to her husband about their son's school admission in a Christian school which hurts him badly. Now Mani gets angry on Parvati that why she did not told him about their son studies in a Christian school. Parvati tells that she did not know it and she is shocked to hear that information. Mani takes his wife along with him to their house. Their son was waiting for them at their door step until he hears the news that his parents are not coming back again. He breaks up into tears and runs away. Parvathi tells her husband that their son will be happy only with them so they should come back home with them. This argument leads to a fight between couple which makes Mani walk out of the house to stop this useless fight between them. But unfortunately Meena gets grip shock because of this incident so Mani tells Parvathi about it who runs towards her mother's place immediately. But her father forced her to go to hospital so she can't meet her mother. Baba chases after his son who is running away from their home because of this incident. After reaching at school, Mani scolds his son for going to a Christian school which made him ashamed of going to a public place. Then next day, Parvathi wakes up early in the morning and she anxiously waits until her son comes back from school. Meena's condition becomes critical and Parvathi knows that sooner or later her mother will die because of this incident, so she wants to see her son even once before her last breathe.
